I am trying to alter the text of a Comment object in Word VSTO (2013) but for whatever reason I am unable to select the text via Application.ActiveDocument.Range(int,int) or comment.Reference.Find.Execute(text). Although both operations 'work' when you call the .select() method afterwards nothing is selected. So how can one achieve altering the Font or text color of a Comment in Word VSTO?

In Microsoft Word, you can apply a background color to an entire table or even just to specific portions of a table. This is helpful when you want to highlight a portion of a table. For example, if you’re working with sales figures, you may want to apply a different color to a column, row, or cell that contains totals. Sometimes, tinted rows or columns are used to make a complex table easier to read.
Add a Table With Shading
- Click the Insert tab on the ribbon and select the Tables tab.
- Drag your cursor across the grid to choose how many rows and columns you want in the table.
- In the Table Design tab, click on Borders.
- Select a border style, size, and color.
- Choose the borders you want to apply from the drop-down menu under Borders or click on Border Painter to draw on the table to indicate which cells should be colored.
Add Color to a Table With Borders and Shading
- Highlight the cells you want to tint with a background color. Use the Ctrl key (Command on a Mac) to select non-contiguous cells.

- Click the drop-down menu under Fill to open the color chart to select a background color.
- From the Style drop-down menu select a tint percentage or a pattern in the chosen color.
- Choose Cell in the Apply to drop-down box to apply the chosen color only to the highlighted cells. Selecting Table fills the entire table with the background color.
- Click OK.

Microsoft Word has several simple color adjustment options so that you can quickly and easily style the images in your Word document. Whether you want to create an artistic masterpiece or simply get your document to match your printer’s settings, you can change your images to black and white in Word.
How to Change a Picture to Black & White in Microsoft Word
Changing your picture to black and white in Microsoft Word is easy! The color adjustment only affects the picture inserted into your document (and it’s reversible at that); it has no effect on the original file.
First, click to select the image in your document.
Xbox one controller on windows 7. You can connect it to other things, like an Android phone, but the proprietary layout means it probably won’t work for any actual gaming. To begin, make sure there’s nothing else turned on in the room that might interfere with the connection—like an Xbox One console or an Xbox Windows adapter dongle. Turn the controller on by pressing the center Xbox button, then press and hold the wireless connection button on the top of the controller, to the left of the charging port.
Next, switch over to the “Format” tab.
Click the “Color” button.
On the dropdown that appears, click the “Saturation 0%” option in the “Color Saturation” group.
Voila! Your picture is now black and white.
And don’t worry. Word still has the original image with all its colors embedded, so you can easily revert to the original colors (or even change them to something else). To change your now black and white image back to its original state, just hit up that “Format” tab again and this time, click the “Reset Picture” button.
And just like that, your image is back to the original color.
